City of Plymouth Athletic Club Sportshall Records (since 1999/2000 season)
The Devon Sportshall League is an indoor competition which is held
throughout the winter months at
Dawlish
Leisure Centre. Athletes may enter up to three events as well as a
relay. There are age categories for Under 10, Under 11, Under 13, Under
15 and Under 17. All age groups are
calculated from the athletes age on 31st August 2010.
The minimum age for competing is 8 years on the day of the fixture.
Events include: 1 lap, 2 lap, 4 lap, 6 lap, 1 lap hurdles and 2 lap
hurdles races along with high jump, standing long jump, standing triple
jump, speed bounce, vertical jump, shot putt, chest push, sitting throw
and relay races.
Individual points are awarded from 10 down to 1 for each event. The 2
highest placed athletes only from each club earn team points. Individual
medals are awarded at the County Championships in November along with
individual and team medals at the final event in March. The end of
season individual awards are calculated from the best 4 scores (3 for
high jump and shot).
This event is free (entry fee paid for by the club) to all Plymouth AC Members and those who attend regular Minors training on a Monday night. Come along and support your club at a fun, friendly event. For further details contact Paul.
